Dear parents and Werner.
Fist greetings from here and hope all is well with you same as I am. I hope you got home alright after the visit. What have you been doing since, I suppose harvested Turnips? It was a bad weather today, all day it rained, if it carries on like that we will get a bad winter. You better hurry up to get it all done and over with so you don’t have to stay out long. Today we finished at 5 PM, it was the Commanders Birth day, he just came to us for a talk. We congratulated him and he was glad about it.
Tomorrow we will do our first march with Gas mask. Some will give up I reckon, maybe me too. At noon we will be having another injection, and then rifle practice. I have a bad cold, but I wont report sick, whoever reports sick will not get a weekend pass to go into town. The cake I already ate, also your plum cake was good. Tomorrow we shall exercise until 6 PM, if I only could help out at home, but it wont help talking about it.
I will close now as it is bed time , write soon, and Greetings to you all.
Artur.
Any mail from Artur? ( Dornberger) Greetings to the other Ketschaus, Ritters and all to those who are helping you.
