Dera Parents and Werner,

Greetings from here I am well and hope you too. Had no mail for a few days only a letter from Heinz came today. How far are you with the harvest? Have you cut a lot and taken home? Did all go well with the motor? We are still here in the line but we might be taken out tomorrow. How did Werner’s report to the Wehrmacht turn out? If they took him, what unit will he be taken into? I just hope they will take him in the Artillery. Did they celebrate after the inspection and was he allowed to go home? Anyone else from home was recruited?, like Bruno, Emil, etc. Was Artur Dornberger released from hospital? Today is the first day of good weather after a spell of rain, how is the weather at home? I will close for now, and hope to see you again.

Greetings to all of you at home from Artur.

What is going on in Mittelhausen, I wrote but had no answer. Did you get the 60 Marks I mailed? Just this minute I had a card and a parcel with a deck of cards. Thank you. Write soon.
