Dear Parents.

Sending you greetings and I hope all is well at home. Today I got the card # 38 I am on guard again and I am writing this letter 3.45AM. I had mail from Artur . Here we have an outbreak of scarlet fever, several , including Hans, have to stay in isolation and are not permitted to send letters home. Have you had rain yet? It is very hot here but other wise not bad. I will close now and look forward to a reunion with you.

Your Werner
