Dear Mama.
Sending you Greetings from here. Hope all is well at home. Thank you for the letter # 2 from June 9th. Hans is not ill, only we had-an outbreak of scarlet fever so he could not write home. Your parcels # 8 to 11 I received on 2™ Whitsun holiday. The food you dend from home is always better than what we get here. Yes I did get the 6 Marks from Papa too. I had no mail from Edwin Ketschau but I don’t care. We don’t know when we will be released from the RAD, but we hope soon. I had a lot of cherries here, and now the peaches getting ripe. I am on guard again today. We on alert all day today, there always is something going on now. Has the rain helped at home? How is Prince the horse, and the filly? I like it here but I rather would be at home. Well, there is no other news so I will close now. Dear Mama, greetings and lets hope we see each other again soon
Your Werner,
