Dear Parents !
If one is on Guard Duty at night, it is also a big time for writing letters and that is what happens right now. But there are not many letters to answer but they will be a bit longer for that,. Yes Mama, I quite believe there is a big difference between France and Russia especially for those, that were in southern France and now going to Russia. Yes, here too it is already warm, but there is no truth in it that already the wild Roses are in flower. But the broom is in full bloom now. It was a strange feeling coming from Fountainebleu where there is still winter, and then suddenly we saw yellow blooms and we were of course pleasantly surprised by that. It is very nice here and there are not many areas in France that are equal to this here. We have not much free time of course, like we had in the past, but no reason for complain. The food problem is solved and that is worth a lot. The world looks much different then when there is food about. Looking at the men on the parade ground, I can see that they too enjoy life now. I mailed a small sample of our food yesterday and hope it will be nice For now, Many
Greetings Your Hans.
