Dear Gerhard.
I got your card and thank you for it, I am coughing and sneezing very much but I am as agile as a bird.I hope you too. Do you want to send a parcel with dirty washing?
I did not get much for my birthday, a pair of shoes, that I had been given a while ago, a pair of underpants that mother had shown me previously but I had nothing else. But Traudel gave me 50 Marks, and Mrs. Schwertasch gave me | Mark. I wonder when you will come on furlough .
