Dear Parents.

Whitsun is over now and on Sunday I was on guard. On Monday there was a fair here for the foreign workers , well, if you can call it a fair, but it was some sort of entertainment for the workers. I hat a lot of beer that day, because it was so hot. I could not come home to visit you, nobody was allowed furlough. We get more and more Bombing raids now, and in Italy things are bad too, . I have to ask you for some money, or I have to borrow from Comrades. I will close now and wish you all the best and lets hope that we will be amongst those that survive the war.

Greetings Heinrich.
