Dear Parents and Grand Dad !

I have hardly arrived here and have been ordered to a March Battalion in Northeim . I thought I could come home on furlough but things are changing all the time. Today I was issued with Battle Overalls Boots and Pants and the other things that go with it. I might will stay in Northeim for awhile, that is the place where the rest of the troops from the Crimea Battles assemble and formed into a new Battle group. Today I had a letter send after me from Volkswagen City that was send after me. I see from it that another 2 of our Comrades died . Heini Rinne and Franz Halmarding both drowned in the Black Sea . But I am well, and hope you too Maybe you can visit me in Braunschweig and bring me a parcel? So for now.

Greetings Heinrich
