Dear Parents !

Today I am able to give you an address to write too and I am now, as we all suspected , ina Rifle Battalion in the Infantry. Our own Regiment , the 117” Artillery, was destroyed and all of us ended up in the 320" Division . There are no jobs anymore for

Ammunition drivers nor Gunners it seems. The Ukrainian

Volunteers doing this now . Yes my Dear Parents, that is bad that I ended up in the Infantry if 1 had been 30 years or older, they would have send me to a better place but now I will be converted to an Infantry man and those that will survive this war will be the lucky ones. Dear Parents, it was not of my doing , 800 of us left Northeim and all went to the Infantry.

Greetings from your Heinrich.
