Dear Heinrich.

I will write again another letter, because I did not write on Sunday and I should have written and do my duty. I hope that you are well like we are I am so worried about you , I don’t know what to write about. I look at Grand Dad in his room and he sits there with a prayer book on his knees Let us hope that God, who has protected you now so long, will continue to protect you . We looked at the Map of Romania and found Kishinev , there were some news on the Radio from the southern front and we thought of you. Father is out in the fields to look at the oats, if the weather holds, we will do the mowing tomorrow the field by the slope we did yesterday, the oats are very good this year, we had 106 shocks and so far we had 2 acres of rye and it was nice weather to get it in. Other Farmers were out too mowing their oats , the horses were sweating it out The White Field Oats are standing good as well, Just now I think I hear Thunder and it seems that a storm is coming up.If it stays dry tomorrow, we try to mow the clover Down below we are going to cut the 3' time, So far the weather has helped. Grand Dad is talking about seeing a Doctor and last night he complained about Rheumatism in his legs and feet , his feet are swelling at times. But the Doctor said that for his age, he seems to be very well, and grow to a very old age.. The Doctor things that his Rheumatim is a sign of old age, his feet will get better he said. He still eats well, he and he is the same like you remember him. The little Dog has grown too and is playing in the coal bucket right now, to find a bone. We had killed a Rabbit for supper today we still got 2 left now, but I am glad when they all gone. I wish the war would stop so you can get home, . I already have made a large Glass of pickled Gherkins for you. That little Dog even hada pickled Gherkin, we have to hide everything, he seems to find a use for anything that is laying around . But all this is of no interest To you, but what else is there to write? Hermann Baule has not written for a long time maybe he is not alive anymore. In my last letter I enclosed Pudding Powder but no sugar so I will send sugar now. I hope this letter will not come back like the others I wish I could send more but have no stamps By Tuesday I will send something again so for now all the best

Mother, Father and Grand dad.
