Dear Parents.

Last week we arrived here and moved in to a new barrack , this town is full of soldiers , our Barrack is # 78 and build by the road called “ Danzig Way”. I had 3 parcels from you and hope that those wont be the last ones , but please Mutti, send me some Sugar, Pepper, Washing Powder, and some name tags to sew into my washing. I have a lot of work to do here, I did mess up the Riffle inspection and as a reward, I have to look after the horses in the evening and feed them . I am assigned as a co driver on the wagon, pulling the Cannon. I also will be trained as a Machine Gunner in the front line. I don’t think I am getting furlough now, by April we might be on enemy soil but let me know how things are at home. To write about this camp here would be to much anyway I tell you one day about it.

Heil Hitler Heinrich.
