Dear Parents and Werner.

Greetings again from here, at last we arrived with our Regiment, and our FP # is 21 764 E, so you are happy now and can write to me and let me know what is going on at home. Ernst and I are in the same Company, and we hope we stay together and hopefully in the same platoon. If you send anything, send me cigarettes, braces, nothing else, the food is good here. Have you heard from Artur Dornberger? We will be all happy when the baptism of fire is behind us but we are confident to get through it. How is the fieldwork going at home? Is Werner doing things right? I will close now and send greetings to all, incl Ritters, From your

Artur.

From: Pvt Artur Ketschau, FP # 21764 = Pz Grenadier Regt 112

To: Family Ketschau, Kleinmélsen, Erfurt, Thurg.

The letter E after the FP # is the designated letter for a Company.
