Russia April 18 19 42

Dear Parents.

Today I have time once again to write to you. Greetings from here first of all. I am hoping to get mail from you soon, so I know what is going on at home. Yesterday we were detailed for security against Russian Deserters but none came. Now we are with the Panzers together again, we have been told that in 4 weeks we will be going forward, that could mean home to

Germany, and if that is the case, we all for it, we just about had enough of it all here. If you see the huge Russia, things don’t look any better, on top of it all the lice, they crawling all over us. I did get the parcels that you send. How far you with the fields now? Everything works out fine and is Werner doing his job?

Well, that is all for now.

Greetings to All Artur,

From: Pvt Artur Ketschau, FP # 21764 = Panzer Grenadier Regt 112
