Dear Parents and Werner.

Today I have time to write a few words. Sending you greetings from here, We have a very quiet life here, the war is not anywhere near here, all we do is standing guards and me and Ernst are together always. The front is quiet here, we have a wide river in front of us and not even a deserter gets across it. But I rather would be out of this pigsty of a country. The lice and fleas almost kill us. How is it at home, work all done? We have good weather here. Only today are afew showers, I will close now and hope to fet mail from you.
