Dear Parents.

We arrived at the place that was or destination and I will write a few words again. Greetings to all of you, I am well and hope you too. Your letter from #29 I received but parcels have not come yet, I wonder were they have ended up. We are now near there were Artur Dornberger was a while ago, and we have plenty of mud around us again. It rains each day here, I hope it is not like that at home now that you work in the fields. How far is the weeding going? I suppose the weeds in the turnips have gone now, so next will be the potatoes. How much Barley have you had this season? What else is new? Anyone been drafted into the Army? Who is home on furlough? Did Artur from Udestedt came on furlough or is he still in hospital? Recently I had the first letter from Udestedt. What are they doing there now? In a few days is my birthday, and how nice it would be, to be home for it. But here I don’t know how to celebrate my birthday, it wont be much I suppose. I will close for now write again soon, and I look forward to your parcels. Hope to see you at home soon.

Artur.
