Dear Parents and Werner.

Greetings here from Hospital and thank you for the letter from the 18th. I also had a card from Liesel, and I hope that you are all well there at home. I am getting better too, but the wound is still the same, I can just about move my fingers again. The piece of shrapnel is still in my arm. You must have gotten a few letters by now from me, I write almost every day,. I have not received the things you have asked me for, next week they suppose to get more items in and they told me to call in then. But I will try my best to get everything you asked for. I think wire brushes are still available here, and if I can get one or two, I will send them on. Maybe you send me some money or take it from my savings book. I also could do with a few Cigarettes , or send me Cigarette Coupons, that is ok with me. I can get 6 Cigarettes here for 1 point. Or 10 for 2 % points. So that is more than you get at home. What else is new? I suppose the turnip harvest is over now, is Artur still in Hamburg? How much potatoes you took to Erfurt and is the motor going ok? When will you start trashing the grain? Maybe I am home by then, and can help.

Write soon again please, Greetings to all. Artur.

Did you get the photos?
