Dear Parents.
Again a short letter today with Greetings from the East, I am well so far and hope you too. We are still in that Rail Road Station I told you about and when we will leave here nobody seems to know , we hope soon so we get to our Company and we can collect mail. I have to write you soon a new FP Number too, here near Orscha it is not very comfortable, the enemy bombers visit us each night, But I suppose we will stay here for a few more days before we reach our Unit. We are suppose to go back to the position were I was wounded last year. How it looks here in Russia on the fronts you ought to know better than I do. Did you hear the special announcement on the Radio that Charkow is back in our hands? Lets hope that soon the end comes here, so we get out of Russia, and back home. What is new at home? The weather has improved and how is it at home? Are thinking about the spring work yet? Today was the first good day in ages, but it is very cold. Is Werner still in Posen? I write every few days to him, and I write to you every day if I can. I will close now and hope that I get out of here with no broken bones. Until we see each other again
Artur.
