Dear Parents.
Greetings out of Russia to you, I am well and hope you at home are too. Today I got 2 letters from you # 2 and # 3 and the writing paper too. Also got the Cigarettes, but not many left, I am on guard in the bunker and when all others are asleep, I smoke one after another. This week I also will write to Werner, Gerda and to Udestedt. In an hour from now, I have to wake up the Sgt. Tomorrow morning we have to go for injections and after that to the delousing station. All this on one morning, the walk there takes half an hour. The weather is good and the snow is almost gone. The mud and dirt period starts now and we sure will get it here. The roads turn into mud, worst than at home our fields. But we don’t care much, but what else is going on at home , have you already got young chicks? How are the ducks doing? Are the geese laying eggs yet?
Write soon please and lets hope for a reunion soon.
Your Artur,
