My Dear Hermi.

Thank you very much for your letter from December 11th that came yesterday as an early Christmas present. I hope that you are well and I can say the same from myself. Dear Hermi! I am unable to do you that favor because I have no 2 LB Parcel stamps. Maybe we will get a few in January. By the way, today I was told that I can have furlough as of January 14th 1944. That is good news or? I am looking already forward to our meeting , and let me know, if I can reach you by telephone. Dear Hermine, I hope you will had a nice Christmas Eve , here we had a quiet evening, apart from a fight with 21terrorist , who thought we were drunk and tried to kill us . That is all for today

Greetings from your Fips.

The nicest part of the day is, when your letters arrive, and I read, that you think of me often.
