Dear Parents.
First sending you greetings from here. I am ok, and today I had mail from you. Letter # 28 and Card # 29 arrived. I don’t get much mail from you but it comes at least. I see you had no mail from Werner and neither had I, I just can not understand why he does not write, the 2 parcels arrived too, both were 100 Gram items, and a nice change. If I had been at home, I would have done the same as Werner, we do get here in the company sometimes cookies or cake, it is not as bad as it was last year. I often think about the time I was at home but it will not change anything for me here, it wont me feel better and I only get more homesick. Has Werner said nothing of his release yet? He must have written to you.
Have you started planting potatoes yet? How is your weather? We had heavy rain yesterday but today it is ok but a cold wind. I did send the money for the parcel stamps, did you get them, what else is new at home?
I will close for now and lets hear from you again and hope for a reunion at home.
Artur
