Dear Parents .

Greetings from here first, I am well and I hope you too, today I had mail from home, card # 34, Parcels # 39 to # 43 and a letter from Werner with Cigarettes. And a letter from Helmut in Mittelhausen. Werner’s letter was dated April 18th so it was a long time in transit. Today he wrote me why they could not leave camp at the time he wanted too. He wrote about a trip and watched a bull fight. He experienced a lot of things, to much to write it all. How is the weeding going? Much in the way if thistles in the field? Is the Machine going well? Are the Turnips up yet? Let me know what is growing at home. How are the smaller farm animals doing, the Geese, the ducks and Chicks. Did you get rid of the rats now? How is Prince the horse, is he still alive and still as crazy as before?, and hope the little filly goes out to graze. How are the Ritters and Ketschau’s? I hope they all help out. So please let me know all the news and I send you greetings from here

From your Artur.

Greetings to Maria in Tüschu.
