Dear Parents.

Greetings from here and I hope all is well at home. Today I got the 2 Ib parcel at last, and letters # 14-15-16, a letter from Werner too, and from our old teacher, with a greetings from Sauckel. The weather is fair again, I am writing this letter at 3 PM and I am on Telephone duty. Later I will be on duty at Battalion, we don’t get much sleep, we have to be on alert at all times, How are things at home, started weeding yet? Do you get help from the other Ketschau family or don’t you see them anymore?

Write soon and wishing you all the best.

Artur.

Fritz Sauckel was the Nazi Leader of the Province of Thuringia and was hanged in Nuremberg in 1946 for war crimes committed.
