Dear Ketschau Family.
Firstly, belated I send you my condolences to the death of your Brother in Law Artur in Oct 43. At the time of the incidend, I was in Company II under 1* Lt Peters . It is now over a year ago and memories have faded a bit since then but it happened late evening on Oct 3rd about 11 PM during an Artillery shelling by the enemy when his Bunker sustained a direct hit. &’of our Comrades were killed , amongst them my Comrade Artur ,
We lost a very good Comrade . The Staff Sgt of the 3rd Platoon at the time must have send Arturs Private belongings to the
Dornberger Family.
A picture I enclose, Artur is 2nd from the left.
