Dear Parents.

Greetings from here, I am well and I hope you too. Thank you for letters #1 and #2 also I got all the parcels, except those that were addressed to my old unit. I have not got the money yet I like to know where that has ended up. Don’t worry, Anna and Maria will come back, there is no other way out for them. What was permitted for them to take along? Edwin has so far not written to me, but I don’t care about it, I don’t need to answer. Today we have bad weather, rain and storm but we not out on exercise. We have lessons in side and I am writing this letter. I am on duty in the Sgt ’s room and its nice and warm here. How is your weather? Have you started on the fields yet? This weekend we are due back with the Company, I wonder what they have in store for us. I hope they all send us home on furlough. don’t write to this address, I am sending 4 parcel stamps, I let you know when to send me parcels. 2 stamps I got from a Comrade, I got none in January. I will close now , and send you all my best Greetings and hope to see you at home.

Your Werner.
