In the East June 27th 1944
Dear Parents.
Greetings from here and hope all is well, I had no mail today , we have very nice weather and I hope it is like that at home. I made potato soup today, was really good . In the Army one learns a lot it seems. I even build myself a stove to cook on. Well, that is all for now. Hope to see you one day.
