Dear Parents.

Did you get the parcels? I am sending greetings from here, hope all is well at home. Today I did not get any mail from you but a letter from Hans Möller. We already have bad weather here , it freezes every night , how is it at home, have you started lifting the potatoes yet? How did the thrashing go? Was there a good lot? How are our horses and other livestock. Can you get me a Cigarette lighter, no matter what brand it is as long as it works. All is well here otherwise, and so I will close now and sending you beloved Greetings,

Your Werner.
