Dear Parents

Greetings from here and hope all is well at home. It wont be long now and I have to leave here. We have good weather every day, how far you with the potatoes and turnips? Have been sowing winter wheat yet? Here the winter wheat is already coming up, what else is new? Did you get all the parcels I mailed? The last one I mailed was the box in that you send me the last cake. I enclosed Cigars and Cigarettes, the Cigars can Papa smoke. I don’t know anything else to write so I send you greetings and hope for seeing you soon.

Werner.
