My dear Parents!

Sending you Greetings from here and I hope you are well, like I am. Thank you for the letter , the weather is very bad here, Fog and rain every day, the trenches are half under water, I hope you have better weather so you can finish the potatoes. How far are you, has little Erich helped as well after school? We hope the war will be over soon, we are anxious to know , whether we will be here for Christmas. We all anxious to hear when these new weapons of us will be deployed. What else is new at home then ? Sending you Greetings and hope for a reunion

Your Werner.
