Russia Dec 12th 1943
Dear Brother and Family.
I have been waiting for mail from you but I have not heard from you for several weeks now. But nevertheless I will write again and I presume that all is well with you. I hope you had not any damage done to your home from the Air raids recently. I feared the worst because I had not heard from you. This is my second letter to you in 6 weeks.
Right now our stretch of the front is very busy again with the Nebelwerfer firing, will the expected Russian Attack succeed? The winter is coming in force too, the snow is 4 inches high, and the few degree cold we have we can stand in our new winter wear.
I hope all is well at home so I am yoo and I wish you all the best to the upcoming Christmas .
Greetings to you all.
Your Sepp.
