Dear Parents and Margarete.

I don’t know when I wrote last time to you, one day seems like any other, so therefore today I will write to you gain , from this “ Promised Land”, that I had enough of now. But I am well and have no reason to complain, I suppose those that in the front line day after day have more reason to complain. These men do the outmost to stem the Russians back and there Is no way for them the quid. I did not get any mail but we got a bottle of beer. That wes good. How are you? When is Margarete’s wedding? Thave her photo here in the Company Office and tell here that anyone wants to marry my sister, has deposit his address with me. Its only a joke. Stay all well, and I hope to see you all again.

Greetings Your Erich.

Greetings to Karl and Baldur. Did you get the parcel with tobacco and Cigarettes?

Erich
