Dear beloved Christel.

I just left the Air raid shelter , the 2nd time today, at noon we had an alert lasted 1 hour, and now from 8 - 9 PM I am now ready to write a few words. I was in the Movie theater today and saw the film “ A Wife for 3 days” , I was able to see a short stretch because the air alert sounded and ended the film for me. Are there any rumors around Péssneck about us two? don’t worry, that’s from envious people. It will not harm our relationship? I don’t think so, I know you well enough, Next furlough you and I will stand in the Market square so all the people can see us, I hope your sister is not angry with me. Is she still angry with me? Have you got more mail from other soldiers? Let me know please, I cant find peace about it. Well, you cant just forget it, you sure must have loved the man or? It is hard to shut all doors behind you , but let me give you one advise, in that matter only let your heart decide, the man can not decide for you, not the good looks of a person matters, but the inner core, his character, every man, even I, make mistakes and have habits that a woman not likes. You ought to know that. Dear Christel, I can not say it often enough how much I love you , I will do anything for you and that’s why everything will be right in the end.

Good night Dear Christel, Greetings and Kisses from your

Waldfried
