Dear Mia!
Today I got the sweet greeting in the parcel from you dated Sept 9th, it took 4 weeks to get here, some mail takes ages , some is fast. Today I also got a letter from my Brother who is in Africa, the poor boy has not had any furlough for over a year. He is still waiting now, but I am not lucky too, but I hope for furlough in the winter. I am maybe 4 000 Kilometers from home now, and it must be punishment to sit on a train for that distance. But the things we do to get home on furlough. But you can be assured Mia, I will not miss Delmenhorst when I come. I hope you have some time for me then. Nothing has changed here so I send you Greetings
Your Ernst.
