Dear Parents and Granddad !
Once again I got some parcels yesterday and there were 3 parcels with sausage and canned sausage too. Thank you very much for it all. I also had plenty of cards and letters, but remember, I can not answer each letter. Today we are in a state of high alert , because today is the Red Army Day and we can expect an attack any minute. They already making preparation with wildly staged Artillery fire. We are lucky that the Russians have not so much Artillery now or we would have changed positions to often. I heard that L. Gllermann is on a trip to Stalino for reasons I don’t know. Stalino is 60 Kilometers from us, Our Village is Lugenskaja that you found on your map we are 15 Kilometers south of there. I have not found anyone from Rehren here, . I am glad to hear that you got hens sitting on eggs and if you got a breeding cage, you can keep ducks too. Dear Father, I see you made a deal with Krumfu8 about the trashing machine I am sure he is happy about it. Give him a job to do when you can, and tell him to deliver the manure spreader. If there is any other machines still available, buy it, and get a straw blower too to blow the strow onto the 1* tier in the barn. Make sure you get good things for your money. For the tractor get wheel chains, and lets hope you can keep the horses. How much corn have you sold now? Did you sell the 4th pig that you could not slaughtered? That will be all again. Greetings from far away.
Heinrich.
