Dear All !
Only today I am able to write to you and as soon as we were in our room, we are odered to storm down the stairs back to work. Next to me are 6 of my Comrades expecting the same. I just was detailed to get the food and I must say it is very good. There is not much that you need to send me maybe a bit Butter and Sausage things, today we had the first day duty outside Our Lockers are small and I share mine with H. Wille who had been with me in the RAD in Raderberg In a minute there will be alocker inspection, I wonder how it will turn out, Soldiers life is not to bad, even so we are on the run most of the day and next week we will be issued with Rifles and that means more drill. Yesterday we were examined by a Doctor and I volunteered as a Gunner, I did not want to become a driver, and there is a lot of work to be done with horses and things. How are you? Have been sowing the rye yet? We have a nove room in camp, with music even and in the morning we are woken up with music. We go to bed at 9 PM with music. Today we equipped ourselves with a bucket, a scrubber and cloth and dida complete clean up of the ward. Well, that is enough for now and greetings to all, to Grand dad too.
From your
Gunner Heinrich Bredemeier,
4th Heavy Artillery Abseiling -Géttingen Merinde.
