Dear Parents.

It is our hour of repairs and polishing here and I think I managed to keep my things in good order. This Morning we had a big inspection, and afterwards on the Parade ground we were sworn into the Wehrmacht and Führer. A few times we already did some Artillery training on the guns . The short barrel guns are ok, but the long Barrel Gun is tedious and hard work. We have hour after hour Artillery lessons indoors , a lot has to be learned , drawing and writing. We made good money last week, we all got 15 Marks and 10 Marks again today. The big parcel I opened and I have to share things with my Comrades because in my small locker is no room. Some Cookies and some butter but that is all I can take. Greetings to all and also to the Gellerman Family.

Heinrich.
