Dear Parents and Grand Dad !

At long last yesterday I got the first letter from home, so the new FP # is ok to send now. You probably got all my letters I mailed during my journey. I am glad that you are all well, and so am I. I am still not satisfied with my present assaignment . I got only a few half Polacks as Comrades that are from upper Silesia no other Comrades from home here. And with these they try to hold the line here? I think back how nice it was with my old unit , all of them from Lower Saxony, well, I must close now as it is getting dark . A Lt will visit us tonight and listen to the Gdbbels speech on the Radio.

Many Greetings Heinrich.
