Dear Werner!

A few words I want to write to you, I am well here and hope you too, I had no mail from home lately. So how far are you with the harvest? Have you done your assigned job and did you operate the Binder Motor? But let me tell you that you should rather work day and night at home then come here. Have you been called up? Be on guard, stay at home if you can, until the war is over. I close for now, Greetings to Papa and Mama

Your Artur
