Dear Parents!

Sending you my best Greetings from here, today I got the first letter from you and #2 and the card from March 17th. Ellinger is still with us here, we had an hour stopover in Erfurt we had a lunch on the train but were not allowed off the train. I looked but I did not see anyone we know in Wieselbach, Alfred Franke apparently did see us going by. Ask him. Are you done with the fields now? Here it is raining, I don’t need anything, but there and then send me something to eat. I don’t need Cigarettes, I wont to stop smoking. Did you get the Parcel and the photos I mailed before I left? Greetings for now from

Your Werner.
