Dear Parents.

Greetings to you from here. Hope all is well at home and thank you for the parcel # 29 and 30. One parcel had no number on it but thank you anyway. I also had two parcels from Ketschau in Udestedt Today I got the 2 Ib parcel with the sausage. Yesterday when I got back I found 10 letters for me, 2 from you, 2 from Artur, others from Michael, Horst Franke , Helmut Hépfner, Artur Dornberger and others. Thank you for the 30 Marks that I got today. I have written to Artur a few times and I even send him Cigarettes. We don’t buy Cigarettes here, we get them rationed free but as I don’t smoke, I send them to him.I had also parcels from Gerhard, today we had a free day with a pass to go out until 7 PM, I watched a bull fight and was interesting. What else is new at home? I will close now

Werner.

Our trip we made was to see the RAD Leader in Erdangers, it was a nice trip, we saw Paris too, the Eiffel tower, Arc de Triumph, the grave of the unknown Soldier, Paris is nicer than Berlin.
