Dear Parents,

Sending you greetings from here, and hope all is well at home as I can say that from me. Today I got parcels # 4-5-6-7and letter # 1. Thank you very much for all these. Today is Whitsun and we had a pass to go into town, but by 6.30 we had to be back as there was an Alert for us , a High alert it was. We are now fully in alert as there was a report of enemy parachute droppings. There is always something going on here now so you will get only 1 letter per week for the time being.

I hope you have changed the oil in the Tractor. How are things with Hilmar Giseler and the others, are they still avoiding the call up?

I am still together with Hans , we had a Scarlet Fever here and were not allowed to write for 2 weeks.

Nothing else is new, Greetings and best wishes to you all until we see each other again.

Werner.
