Dear Brother in Law.

Sending you another sign of life from me, I had your card a few days ago but I had no time to answer it. Today I am at the rear with Supply Comp and I have the time to write. I can see that you are well and so am I.

Yes I got Arturs new address , I had written to him and asked him if he wanted some cigarettes as he had wrote to Werner to send him Cigarettes. I have almost stopped smoking now because of my lung. Yesterday I send him a small parcel and I hope he will like it.

Dear Brother in law, no matter how far I am from home, my thoughts are always with you at home. I am by the radio and listening to the marching songs , followed by the news that nobody wants to hear. Let us hope that this war is soon over or none of us will see our home again. We suppose to be classified as Panzer Grenadiers so why not Infantry? Well, no other news from here but lets hope for a reunion at home

Your Artur
