Dear Parents

Greetings from here and all is well here, hope the same from home. Today I had letters # 18 and 19 and a letter from Edgar Greif, The cold weather has started here now, and it froze hard last night. We are constantly freezing, there is no one in my Company I know, only the cook is from our area in Blankenship , with him I can talk about home. All the others are good Comrades anyway. I will close for now, my dear Parents, Greetings to all, and hope of a reunion.

Your Werner.
