Dear Parents.

Greetings to you from here, hope All is well at home, Today I had your letter #3 , the sherbert powder and a letter from Uderstedt. Thank you very much. Do not send anymore Sherbert powder now.

Lets us be lucky that the 2 Ib parcel went through the parcel restrictions. In the next parcel, please send me a Cigarette lighter, do not count on me coming home on furlough, there is none to be had on any front. That will only happen after the war. Did you get the onion seeds I mailed? We don’t have any fruits here, if you can , send me some. What is said about the war at home? I will close now and send you Greetings

Your Werner.
