Dear Parents and Margarete.

Tonight I will write a few words again. I will not write much, if is already late and besides what shall I write about. Every day is the same here, war, very hard war, and executed without mercy, one can not write about that. There is not much to tell you about me, I am well and I I have no hard tasked ahead of me. If not I would not be sitting here but amongst the 500 or more that are buried now. This condition is part of when one has a rest, it will go away. Do not worry about it.

And for you I keep hoping that you are all well, and are in good health, and how is your Rabbit breeding business doing? Have you had an inspection how many there are now or has that been dropped? You will in time become a Rabbit food gardener, and make sure the authorities will stay out of it because of your meat rations.

Today I got 2 parcels of tobacco , that I will send home to you. Replace it with candy or something. I also had the card from Margarete, thank you, and give my Greetings to your Gerhard. Also Grandad wrote to me, I shall send him a pack of tobacco again. But that is about the only thing we can send home from here. We can send items home but there is not much we can get here. I will close for now, wishing you all the very best , be brave even if it is not easy at times. Our Will must prevail.

Stay well, and until next time, Your

Erich.

Greetings to all.
