Hannover. January 15th 1945

Dear Erna. Today I can only write you a Feldpost letter because I have no other paper. Right now I am on training in a Panzer close up combat unit in Hannover. This will take three days. so on Saturday lunchtime, I am off to Hameln. These three days will be easy work, the opposite from Bergen. Hameln will be pleasant too, and if things go on like that, I will be satisfied. What are you up to these days, have you settled in Flöhn?, or would you rather be back in Falkenau? In my last letter I enclosed a photo of me, I hope you got that so you know I did not lie to you. I am well, and hope the same from you.

Heartfelt Greetings Your Friend Richard.

From: Sgt Richard Groß, Grenadier Reserve Battalion 590 in Hameln, Machine Gun Company , Scharnhorst Building.

To; Miss Erna Berger, 10 Frankenstein, / Saxony. # 25
