Dear Parents and Grand Dad !

Yesterday I had two letters from Dec 5th and your worries about the parcels, I had them both before Christmas, I am sorry that I did not notify you about it sooner. But lately I had no parcel , at times I don’t want to write about it in case you worry. Sometimes an hour after writing , a parcel arrives and the most annoying thing isa restriction in the mail. Right now I am on the last piece of sausage and I hope that I will be getting 100 Gram parcels again soon. . Believe me dear Mother, some Comrades are suffering from hunger here . I have no larder so what I have, at times I share with Comrades, I would like to have a can of beet Syrup or Plum juice . There are many here with jaundice and that is because of the in adequate food ,lack of vital vitamins and lets hope that the winter comes to an end soon We would love to go to France for a change nobody wants a furlough from Russia and then returns here afterwards. Dear Father, I m glad to hear you got the wheel chains for the tractor, Are they good on packed snow? How much Oats , rye wheat and barley did you trash this year? How is the filly, and what will you do with it ones it starts pulling.? Make sure you get that electric cooker in spring , did you get a new fertilizer spinner yet? Have you used the tractor yet for the woods? I will close now , do not worry about me Greetings and Best Wishes for the future.

Heinrich
